about

Story

Emily is a textile designer and artist from outside of Philadelphia. She studied at School of Visual Arts in New York, earning her BFA in Illustration. After working as a print and textile designer for several years in the city, she pivoted to experimenting with her personal work and turned back to her love for textiles. Her designs are inspired by the playfulness of nature and folk art. Now Emily illustrates and creates art that is fun, approachable, and useful.

process

Each design begins with a delicate gouache and watercolor painting. Often times they are experimental, messy, and are created multiple times over to achieve the perfect blend of elements. Emily has a small studio by the beach where she works on paintings, prints, and plays with clay.

Sustainable, cozy works of art

As a child, Emily spent most of her time either outside or drawing. Through both, she explored natural and whimsical worlds. Our textiles are meant to bring you a little bit of whimsical nature inside (or out!). Made from premium, U.S. grown cotton, our blankets are woven with care in North Carolina.
